Think of it as the barrier that holds the pressure in, making sure the rod extends and retracts with the force it’s designed for. Without it doing its job, you just can't get the consistent push or pull you need from that cylinder, whether it's for feed, boom, or even a simple clamp.

When this dichtung starts to go, usually what happens is you’ll notice a film of hydraulic oil building up on the bohrstange itself, or even dripbolzeng down the zylinder body.
