133 355 98 FLAT BAR This plate functions like a hydraulic circuit board, typically located inside a main control valve or drifter manifold. It contains precisely machined channels that route high-pressure oil to the correct actuators based on operator commands. Proper fluid direction is essential for activating and controlling the drifter's impact mechanism, rotation motor, and other key functions, making it fundamental to the entire drilling process.

Over time, the surfaces of the plate can erode from the constant, high-velocity flow of hydraulic fluid, creating internal leaks between circuits. This wear causes a loss of hydraulic pressure, which an operator will notice as sluggish performance or a weak impact force from the drifter. A cracked or severely worn plate can also contaminate the system with metal particles, risking damage to pumps and motors.

If a specific drilling function becomes weak or unresponsive, or if the hydraulic oil is overheating without a clear cause, a worn COUNTER PLATE is a likely culprit. When installing a replacement, it is crucial to also change all associated seals and O-rings. Always ensure the valve block surfaces are perfectly clean before assembly to prevent leaks and protect the new part.
