It works directly with the shank adapter to turn the drill string. A proper fit is essential for straight holes and effective energy transmission to the rock.
When a CHUCK wears out, the drill steel can become loose. This play leads to inefficient drilling, as impact energy is lost and not fully transferred to the bit. It also causes accelerated wear on the drill steel shank and the drifter's internal rotation components, increasing the risk of premature failure.
