Placed ahead of the primary rod seal in the cylinder head gland, a buffer seal takes the brunt of pressure spikes when a cylinder dead-heads or hits a sudden load. It vents back-pressure while smoothing out pressure spikes so the main rod wiper and u-cup do not blow out prematurely.
Recommended Use
Hydraulic cylinder repacks and gland rebuilds to protect rod sealing packs from hydraulic shock loads.
