DECAL

002 995 10 DECAL Decals are more than just stickers; they are vital communication tools on any piece of heavy equipment. They convey critical safety warnings, operational procedures, and maintenance instructions directly to the personnel working with the machine. For instance, a DECAL might indicate an emergency stop button, a specific lubrication point, or a hazard zone like a pinch point or high-pressure area. Clear and legible decals help prevent accidents and ensure the machine is operated and maintained correctly, which is fundamental for both safety and long-term reliability.

You'll find various decals strategically placed across a drilling rig, from the control panel in the operator's cabin to specific points on the boom, feed beam, or power pack. Their location is chosen to ensure the information is visible and accessible exactly when and where it's needed. When these visual cues are clear, operators can quickly identify controls, understand machine limits, and follow safety protocols without hesitation. This direct visual guidance contributes significantly to efficient operation and helps avoid costly mistakes or downtime caused by misinterpretation.

Over time, decals can become worn, faded, scratched, or peel off due to exposure to the elements, cleaning, or general wear and tear in an underground environment. When a DECAL becomes unreadable or missing, it creates a potential safety risk or can lead to improper operation or maintenance. Regularly inspect all decals on your equipment. If any are damaged or missing, they should be replaced promptly. Replacing a DECAL is a simple task: clean the surface thoroughly, ensure it's dry, and then carefully apply the new DECAL, making sure there are no air bubbles.
