Full Technical Description
WRENCH ADAPTER 3115 0343 00 is one of those specialized tools you absolutely need to get a proper grip on those often-stubborn fittings or bolts in cramped spaces, especially around the rock drill or feed system. You know, the ones where a standard open-end or socket just won't quite clear. It's designed to give you the leverage and angle you need without stripping the head or rounding off a hydraulic line nut. Makes a big difference when you're trying to break loose something that's been on there for years, or just get a torque wrench on it properly.
When one of these adapters starts getting tired, usually what happens is you'll feel it slip a bit on the fastener. The jaws or the internal hex will start to round out, and that's when you're really asking for trouble. You end up stripping the bolt head or, even worse, rounding off a hydraulic line nut, which is a real pain to replace. You might also notice it flexing more than it should, especially if you're really leaning into it. That's a good sign it's about to let go, and you definitely don't want it snapping when you're putting serious torque on something.
Look, these aren't forever tools. If it's showing any signs of rounding on the inside, or if you see cracks forming, especially around the stress points, just swap it out. Trying to save a few bucks on a worn adapter usually costs you way more in stripped fasteners and wasted time later. A common thing folks forget is to actually *check* the fit before applying torque. Make sure it seats fully and doesn't wobble. A little play means it's already starting to wear the fastener, or the adapter itself is past its prime.
