VALVE CONE
The VALVE CONE 3115 2100 00 is a critical internal component for many hydraulic or pneumatic valves on your rig. It’s what actually seals off or opens up flow paths, directing pressure where it needs to go. When it wears, you'll see things like cylinder drift or inconsistent air pressure.

Full Technical Description
VALVE CONE 3115 2100 00 is basically the guts of a particular valve, usually found in the hydraulic system or sometimes in the air circuit, depending on the rig. What it does is pretty straightforward: it seats itself against a machined surface to either block or allow fluid (or air) flow. Think of it as the stopper that controls the path. When the valve actuates, this cone moves, opening or closing that pathway, which in turn directs pressure to cylinders or motors, or lets air through for percussion.
When this cone starts to wear, you’ll usually notice things getting a bit sluggish or inconsistent. If it’s in a hydraulic circuit, you might see a cylinder drifting slowly, or maybe the boom doesn’t hold its position quite right when you let off the controls. That’s because the cone isn't sealing properly anymore, allowing a bit of bypass. In an air system, you could hear a constant hiss or notice a drop in percussion pressure, which means the air isn't being directed efficiently to the hammer. It’s a slow creep, usually, not a sudden bang.
Replacing one of these isn't usually a huge job, but it's critical to make sure the valve body bore is clean and free of any scoring before you drop in the new cone. A lot of guys just swap the cone and forget to check the seat it mates against. If that seat is damaged, even a brand-new cone won't seal right, and you’ll be back doing the job again pretty quick. Always check the spring too, if there is one; sometimes they get weak and don't push the cone firmly enough.
