BUSHING HALF 3128 3104 26 Acting as a replaceable wear liner, this half-bushing fits into a structural bore to support a pivot pin. It forms a complete bearing when paired with its other half. Its primary job is to absorb the high radial and shock loads that occur during drilling and tramming, providing a low-friction surface that allows for smooth articulation of the rig's boom and feed systems.

Excessive wear in these bushings leads directly to joint looseness, or 'play'. When this bushing wears, the boom starts to move with play, making the entire feed beam difficult to position accurately and slowing down the whole drilling cycle. This misalignment also transfers damaging shock loads into the pins and main structural frames, which are far more expensive to repair.

Listen for clanking sounds from pivot points during operation and visually check for excessive movement. When replacing, always install both bushing halves as a set. It is also good practice to inspect the corresponding pin for wear and replace it at the same time to restore the joint to its original tight tolerance.
