It confirms that the grease pump is operating correctly and that lubricant is actually moving through the lines towards the drifter, feed, and boom joints. Its function is to prevent both catastrophic dry running and wasteful over-greasing of critical components.

Consistent and correct lubrication is fundamental to the drill rig's reliability. A failure of this sensor can lead to undetected lubrication interruptions.
