Proper cable winding prevents the tangles and snags that could otherwise halt the machine or damage the expensive, high-voltage cable.

A damaged or malfunctioning cable drum poses a significant risk to both safety and productivity. Uneven winding can chafe the cable's outer jacket, eventually exposing the conductors and creating a serious electrical hazard.
