HOSE PROTECT

HOSE PROTECT 3719 0133 51 A hose protector is exactly what it sounds like: a shield for the vital hydraulic and pneumatic lines that power your drilling equipment. These protectors are designed to encase hoses in areas where they are exposed to potential damage. They prevent direct contact with abrasive surfaces, sharp edges, or falling debris that could otherwise compromise the integrity of the hose material.

You'll typically find these protectors installed on hoses running through tight spaces, near moving components like the feed beam or boom linkage, or in areas prone to rockfall. By safeguarding these lines, a good hose protector directly contributes to the reliability of your drill. A damaged hose can lead to hydraulic fluid leaks, loss of pressure, or even complete system failure, which means unexpected downtime and lost production. Keeping hoses protected helps maintain consistent drilling performance and a safer work environment.

Inspect hose protectors regularly for signs of wear, cracks, or significant damage. If the protector itself is compromised, it's no longer doing its job effectively, and the underlying hose is at risk. Replace a worn protector promptly to prevent costly hose failures. It's a small investment that can save a lot of trouble compared to replacing a burst hydraulic hose in the middle of a shift.
