Its job is pretty straightforward: take power from one rotating shaft and reliably transfer it to another, making sure everything gets the drive it needs to do its thing. Without it, you’re not generating power, not cooling, or not moving fluid where it needs to go.

When this belt starts to go, you'll usually hear it first – that tell-tale squeal, especially on startup or under load. It's not just annoying; that noise means it’s slipping, and you're losing power transfer. If it's driving your alternator, you might see battery issues or charging warnings.
