GUIDE, HOSE

550 003 22B GUIDE, HOSE A GUIDE, HOSE plays a vital role in delivering various media, such as lubrication oil, flushing air, or water, to the drill string or drifter components. Its design allows it to safely route these essential fluids or gases along the feed beam or near the rotation unit, often protecting them from abrasion or entanglement with moving parts. Maintaining a consistent supply of lubrication is paramount for the drifter's internal mechanisms, while proper flushing clears the borehole of cuttings, preventing bit wear and stuck rods.

The integrity of a GUIDE, HOSE directly impacts the overall reliability and performance of the drilling operation. If a hose develops a leak, the drifter might not receive adequate lubrication, leading to premature wear of internal components and costly breakdowns. Similarly, a compromised flushing line can result in inefficient drilling, increased bit consumption, and potential damage to the drill string due to accumulated cuttings. Keeping these lines intact is essential for maximizing uptime and achieving target penetration rates.

Technicians should regularly inspect guide hoses for any signs of wear, chafing, cracks, or bulges, especially in areas subject to movement or abrasion. A noticeable drop in system pressure or visible leaks are clear indicators that a hose needs attention. Replacing a damaged GUIDE, HOSE promptly is a straightforward preventive measure that helps avoid more severe and expensive repairs to the drifter or other critical systems. Always use genuine replacement parts to ensure proper fit and material compatibility for the demanding underground environment.
