550 624 41B DRIVE BUSHING Installed within the pivot points of the boom, feed, or drifter cradle, this component acts as a sleeve bearing. It allows for smooth, controlled articulation by reducing friction between a pin and its housing. By absorbing radial loads and guiding movement, it ensures that the drilling assembly remains stable and correctly aligned during operation.

Excessive wear in this bushing leads to play and vibration in the mechanical structure. When this bushing wears, the boom starts to move with play, making it difficult to accurately collar a hole. This loss of tightness can transfer shock loads to hydraulic cylinders and structural welds, increasing the risk of fatigue damage.
