HAND FIRE EXTINGUISHER

550 799 87 HAND FIRE EXTINGUISHER A fire extinguisher is a critical safety component on any underground drilling rig. These units are strategically mounted in easily accessible locations, often near the engine compartment, hydraulic power pack, or the operator's cabin. Their primary role is to provide a rapid response to small fires, preventing them from escalating into major incidents that could cause significant damage or injury.

Having a functional fire extinguisher readily available directly impacts the safety of your crew and the operational reliability of the drill. In the event of a hydraulic line burst or an electrical short that ignites, quick action with an extinguisher can contain the situation, minimizing downtime and costly repairs. It's not just about compliance; it’s about protecting lives and ensuring your equipment can return to service quickly after a minor incident.

Regular inspection is key to ensuring an extinguisher is ready when needed. Check the pressure gauge to confirm it's in the green, verify the inspection date hasn't expired, and ensure the safety pin is intact. Any physical damage, like dents or a leaking nozzle, means it needs immediate attention. Replace or recharge extinguishers according to manufacturer guidelines and local regulations to maintain peak safety standards.
