STRAP
The 550 845 07 STRIP is a simple but essential component for keeping hydraulic lines, electrical cables, and air hoses securely bundled and routed on your drilling rig. It prevents chafing and tangling, maintaining system integrity and making future maintenance much easier.

Full Technical Description
550 845 07 STRIP is one of those small but absolutely necessary pieces that keeps the spaghetti of hoses and cables on a drill rig from becoming a tangled mess. It basically just holds things together, making sure hydraulic lines, electrical conduits, or even air lines stay put where they're supposed to be. This stops them from chafing against sharp frame edges or getting snagged by moving components. Think of it as a simple anchor point, keeping everything neat and in its lane, which really helps with troubleshooting later on when you're trying to trace a leak or a wiring issue.
When these straps start to give up the ghost, usually what happens is you'll notice things getting a bit sloppy. Hoses might sag, or cables could start rubbing where they shouldn't. A dead giveaway is often seeing wear marks on adjacent components – maybe a hydraulic hose starts to show some serious chafing against a frame member, or you might even hear a subtle thump-thump as a loose line vibrates against something when the rig's working. If you let it go too long, you're looking at potential hose bursts or electrical shorts, which are a real headache to deal with, especially when you're out in the field trying to find the source of a leak or a dead circuit.
Replacing one of these is usually pretty straightforward, but don't just slap a new one on and forget about it. Always take a good look at what it was holding – check those hoses or cables for any existing damage from where they were rubbing. Also, make sure you're using the right size and type of STRAP; sometimes guys will grab whatever's handy, but if it's too loose or too tight, you're just setting yourself up for another failure down the road. And for crying out loud, make sure the mounting point itself is still solid; sometimes the bolt or the anchor can get wallowed out, and then the new STRAP won't hold worth a damn.
