Full Technical Description

The 551 899 87 STRAP, METAL (55189987, 551-899-87, BAND 55189987) is a mining-duty fastening BAND engineered for Sandvik drilling rigs, ROC series equipment, and underground jumbos. The 551 899 87 STRAP, METAL secures hoses, wiring looms, guards, and auxiliary components exposed to heavy vibration, hydraulic oil, moisture, and abrasive dust during drilling operations.

This 551 899 87 STRAP, METAL is built from reinforced, corrosion-resistant steel with stable clamping tension designed for long-term retention in harsh mining environments. OEM indicators 55189987 and 551-899-87 ensure catalog compatibility across Sandvik systems.

Function & Operation

The 551 899 87 STRAP, METAL prevents hose displacement, cable wear, and component vibration by delivering rigid fastening in high-impact machine zones. Proper BAND tension enhances operational safety, reduces abrasion damage, and extends the service life of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems used in mining and tunneling.

Reliability & Maintenance

Inspect the 551 899 87 STRAP, METAL for corrosion, fatigue, cracking, or loosened tension. Replace 551 899 87 immediately if securing integrity decreases or if components begin to shift.
