HEATER, CABIN

552 137 26 HEATER, CABIN This heater unit circulates warm engine coolant through a small core, and a fan blows air across it to heat the operator's cabin. Its primary function is to create a comfortable and controlled climate, allowing the operator to focus on the drilling tasks without distraction from cold temperatures.

Typically installed under the dashboard or seat, a properly working HEATER, CABIN is critical for safety. It plays a key role in defrosting and defogging the windows, which is essential for maintaining clear sightlines to the boom and drilling area. Operator comfort also directly translates to higher productivity and alertness during long shifts.

Signs of a failing heater include a lack of warm air, a fan that no longer works, or the distinct sweet smell of engine coolant inside the cabin. If you notice coolant dripping onto the floor or the windows are constantly fogging up, the heater core may be leaking and the unit should be inspected for replacement.
