BEAR & SEAL 5590 0126 59 This combined bearing and seal unit is designed to handle the demanding loads inside a rock drill's rotation mechanism. It supports the main drive shaft, allowing it to spin freely with minimal friction. At the same time, its integrated seal effectively contains the gear lubricant and blocks out harmful rock dust and water.
Proper function of this assembly is directly linked to the drifter's overall lifespan and drilling efficiency. A worn bearing introduces vibration and misalignment, which can lead to poor hole quality and damage to other components. If the seal fails, abrasive dust can enter the rotation unit, quickly destroying the gears and causing costly, unscheduled downtime.
