Overview

Blast-hole drilling throws tons of abrasive silica dust and rock fragments right off the bit. Hanging down around the drill deck, this heavy-duty skirt contains the cuttings cloud so the vacuum collectors can suck up the debris effectively. Keeping the blast plume trapped around the hole protects lower mast hydraulics from grit erosion and keeps dust off the cab glass.
