Overview

Working hot mix asphalt kicks up sticky bitumen and loose stone that can bind up screed adjusters and damage heating components. Bolting this left-hand plate cover over the screed foot protects the main wear surfaces and heating elements from getting packed with cooling mix. Deflecting falling aggregate keeps down-pressure consistent across the entire mat, stopping streaks and gouges before they ruin an asphalt pull.
