CONTROL VALVE ASS'Y

783 203 27 CONTROL VALVE ASS'Y Acting as the brain for a specific hydraulic circuit, this valve directs the flow of oil to operate key drilling functions like percussion, rotation, or boom positioning. It receives signals from the operator's controls and precisely meters the fluid to the correct actuator, ensuring the drill performs exactly as intended.

Over time, internal spools and seals can wear, or contamination can cause the valve to stick. A malfunctioning CONTROL VALVE ASS'Y often leads to sluggish machine response, a loss of power in one function, or unpredictable movements. For instance, a sticking valve could cause the drifter's feed to become jerky, affecting hole straightness and increasing wear on the drill string.

If a specific function on your rig has become unreliable or unresponsive, the corresponding CONTROL VALVE ASS'Y should be inspected. Contamination is a primary cause of failure, so always maintain clean hydraulic oil and check your filters. When replacing the valve, ensure the fittings are clean and correctly tightened to prevent leaks.
