TERMINAL BLOCK

800 687 09 BLOCK, TERMINAL is basically where your electrical connections get organized on the rig. You've got wires for everything – sensors, valves, lights, you name it. This block provides a solid, secure point for those wires to terminate and connect to other circuits. It's not some fancy hydraulic component, but without good terminal blocks, you'd have a rat's nest of wires and intermittent faults all over the place. It keeps things tidy and ensures current flows properly from one circuit to the next, whether it's control voltage or even some power circuits for smaller loads.

When one of these starts to go bad, you'll usually see some weird electrical gremlins pop up. Maybe a solenoid won't fire consistently, or a sensor signal drops out now and then, causing a random alarm. Sometimes, you'll even notice a bit of heat or discoloration around the terminals if there's a loose connection or arcing happening inside. That intermittent fault can be a real headache to track down, making you chase your tail looking at sensors or wiring harnesses when the real culprit is just a worn-out or corroded connection point in the block itself. It's often the last thing folks check.

Replacing these isn't usually a big job, but it's crucial to get it right. Always make sure your wire terminations are clean and tight – don't just jam the wire in there. A lot of guys forget to properly strip the insulation or don't torque down the screws enough, which just sets you up for another intermittent fault down the road. Before you button everything back up, give each wire a gentle tug to confirm it's seated properly. It's a small detail, but it saves a ton of grief later on when you're trying to figure out why something isn't working right.
