SUCTION HOSE

800 976 59 AIR HOSE this is the main line that pulls hydraulic oil from the tank right into your primary pump. It's not under high pressure, but it's crucial for getting a steady, clean flow to the pump's inlet. Think of it as the main artery for the hydraulic system, making sure the pump never runs dry or cavitates. If this hose has issues, you're going to have bigger problems down the line with your main hydraulic functions.

When this hose starts to go bad, you'll usually notice a few things. Sometimes it's obvious, like a visible crack or a slow weep of oil around the fittings. But often, the real headache comes from air getting sucked into the system. You might hear the main hydraulic pump making a distinct whining or groaning noise, especially under load – that's cavitation, and it's a killer for pumps. You could also see your hydraulic oil looking foamy in the tank, or just generally sluggish machine movements because the pump isn't getting a solid column of fluid.

Replacing this hose isn't usually a huge job, but it's one of those things you want to do right the first time. Always make sure you're using the correct clamps and that they're tightened properly – overtightening can damage the hose, and undertightening means air leaks. A common mistake I see is people not checking the inside of the old hose for debris or delamination; sometimes bits of the inner lining break off and can get sucked into the pump, causing more damage. Give the new one a good visual inspection before fitting it, and make sure it's routed without any sharp bends that could cause premature wear.
