811 300 09 ADAPTER (HYDRAULIC) Functioning as a critical link, this adapter joins two different fluid lines or ports, often found on the rock drifter body, valve blocks, or along the feed beam. It allows for the secure connection of hoses that supply hydraulic oil for percussion and rotation, or compressed air for flushing.

A secure connection here is essential for consistent drilling. Any leak, even a small one, causes a loss of hydraulic pressure, which directly reduces the drifter's impact energy and slows penetration rates. A cracked or improperly sealed adapter can also create a serious high-pressure fluid hazard for operators.

Look for signs of fluid weeping or spraying around the connection. If you see oil or grime buildup, the adapter or its seals may be failing. When replacing, always clean the threads and use two wrenches to prevent twisting the hose or damaging adjacent components. Never reuse old seals.
