STRAIGHT THREAD ELBO

816 710 69 CODO DE ROSCA RECTA A straight hydraulic fitting plays a fundamental role in any underground drilling rig's hydraulic system. These fittings are used throughout the machine to connect various hydraulic hoses and tubes, ensuring that hydraulic fluid flows efficiently and without leaks between components. You'll find them in the drifter's hydraulic lines, within the boom's articulation system, and connecting the power pack to the main distribution blocks. Their primary job is to maintain system integrity, allowing pressure to be delivered consistently to where it's needed for drilling, feeding, and positioning.

The integrity of every hydraulic connection directly impacts the overall reliability and safety of the drilling operation. A compromised fitting can lead to significant pressure drops, reducing the impact energy of the drifter or slowing down boom movements. More critically, a leaking fitting creates a safety hazard; hydraulic oil under pressure can spray, causing slip hazards or, in extreme cases, potential fire risks if it contacts hot engine components. Maintaining a sealed hydraulic circuit is essential for both operational efficiency and personnel safety on site.

Common signs of a failing hydraulic fitting include visible oil leaks around the connection point, a noticeable drop in system pressure, or even a loose connection that can be felt by hand. During routine inspections, it's important to visually check all fittings for signs of damage, corrosion, or weeping. If a fitting shows any signs of compromise, it should be replaced promptly. Overtightening can also damage fittings, so always follow manufacturer torque specifications when installing new ones to ensure a proper, lasting seal.
