HYDR.HOSE

824 193 69 HYDR.HOSE ASSEMBLY A hydraulic hose is a critical conduit within any underground drilling rig, responsible for transferring high-pressure hydraulic fluid between components. It enables the precise control and powerful movements required for drilling operations, from positioning the boom and feed to powering the drifter's rotation and impact mechanisms. Without a reliable hose, the entire hydraulic circuit cannot function effectively, directly impacting the machine's ability to perform its core task.

These hoses are found throughout the machine, connecting pumps to control valves, and valves to cylinders that operate the boom, feed beam, and rotation unit. A compromised hydraulic hose can lead to significant issues. For example, a leak in a hose supplying the drifter might reduce impact energy, slowing down drilling progress. More seriously, a burst hose can create a hazardous situation due to high-pressure fluid spray and can cause unexpected loss of control for boom or feed movements, posing a safety risk to operators and nearby personnel.

Common failure symptoms include visible leaks, bulges, cracks in the outer cover, or excessive stiffness. Regular visual inspections are crucial to identify these signs early. When replacing a hydraulic hose, always ensure the new part matches the original specifications for pressure rating and length. Proper installation, avoiding kinks or twists, and ensuring fittings are tightened correctly but not overtightened, will help extend its service life and maintain the hydraulic system's integrity.
