Its main purpose is to create a sealed, protected environment, isolating these critical electronics from the demanding conditions of underground mining. The integrity of this cabinet directly impacts the rig's uptime and safety. A damaged door seal, for example, can let in humid air or high-pressure wash water, leading to corroded terminals and unpredictable electrical faults.
