Without it, you'd have functions trying to happen out of sync, which is just asking for trouble or damage.

When this valve starts going bad, you'll usually notice some sluggishness or, worse, functions not happening at all. If it’s sticking open or not building enough pressure to trip, you might find your next operation just won't initiate. For example, a feed cylinder might hesitate or not move at all even though you've got the lever pulled, because the 3/2-SEQUENCE VALVE isn't letting the oil through at the right time.
