FUEL FILTER-ELEMENT

885 239 79 FUEL FILTER - WATER SEP. CARTRIDGE A FUEL FILTER-ELEMENT is designed to remove unwanted particles from a fluid, whether it's hydraulic oil, lubrication oil, or even air or water in some systems. In a rock drilling rig, these elements are typically found within the hydraulic power unit or the lubrication circuits, positioned to clean the fluid before it reaches critical components. Its primary role is to prevent abrasive wear and damage caused by dirt, metal shavings, and other debris that can accumulate during operation.

The cleanliness of the system fluid directly impacts the reliability and performance of the entire drilling machine. A clean filter ensures a steady, uncontaminated flow, which is vital for the smooth operation of hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders. For example, if the hydraulic oil isn't properly filtered, fine particles can score the internal surfaces of the drifter, leading to a loss of impact energy or even complete failure over time. Maintaining a clean fluid environment extends the life of expensive components and helps avoid unexpected downtime in the mine.

Symptoms of a clogged or failing FUEL FILTER-ELEMENT often include reduced system responsiveness, sluggish hydraulic functions, or an increase in operating temperature. Some machines have indicators that signal when a filter needs attention, often a differential pressure gauge or warning light. It's important to replace filter elements according to the manufacturer's recommended service intervals, or sooner if system performance indicates a problem. Simply cleaning a used element is generally not effective; a fresh, new element is necessary to restore proper filtration capacity and protect your equipment.
