You might find it supporting a valve manifold on the boom, holding a sensor in place along the feed beam, or securing electrical junction boxes. Its primary job is to maintain the precise position and alignment of the part it holds, preventing movement and vibration.

The integrity of this simple part is directly linked to the reliability of the component it supports. If the bracket cracks or bends from fatigue, the mounted part can become misaligned or vibrate excessively. A cracked bracket holding a heavy hydraulic block, for instance, could lead to line stress, eventual leaks, and a potential safety hazard.
