POWER UNIT 9106 0713 02 is what really gets the rig moving, pushing hydraulic fluid through the system to power everything from the feed cylinder to the rotation motor. It’s the muscle, basically, taking mechanical energy and converting it into the hydraulic pressure needed to drill rock or position the boom. Without this unit doing its job, you're not drilling, plain and simple.

When this unit starts to wear out, you’ll usually notice a drop in overall system pressure, or maybe the drill feed just isn't as snappy as it used to be. Sometimes, you’ll hear a distinct change in the pump's whine, almost like it's struggling more than usual, especially when you’re really leaning on the system. You might also see the oil temperature creeping up faster than it should, which is a big red flag that something inside is generating excessive heat, often due to internal leakage or component wear.

Replacing one of these isn't a quick job, so you want to make sure it's actually the power unit causing the issue before you tear into it. Always double-check your suction filters and the hydraulic oil level first; sometimes it’s something simple starving the pump. And when you do swap it, make sure all your connections are spotless and torqued right – a small leak here can cause big headaches later, not to mention a mess.
