SLEEVE
The SLEEVE 5H.21 9106 1215 15 is a common wear part, designed to protect more expensive shafts and pins in your rig's assemblies. It keeps things moving smoothly and aligned, taking the brunt of the wear to prevent bigger, costlier repairs down the line.

Full Technical Description
SLEEVE 9106 1215 15 is typically there to take the abuse, protecting a more critical component from wear. You'll find it often supporting a pin or a shaft that moves a lot, acting as a sacrificial wear surface. Its job is to absorb the friction and impact, keeping the main housing or a key pivot point from getting chewed up. Basically, it maintains alignment and lets things slide or rotate without metal-on-metal grinding, which saves you a much bigger repair bill down the road.
When this sleeve starts wearing thin, you're going to notice some slop in the system. Usually what happens is that increased play translates into a distinct knocking or clunking sound, especially when the rig's under load or moving around. That excessive movement can also cause premature wear on the pin or shaft it’s supposed to protect, and sometimes even lead to things not lining up quite right. If you let it go too long, you’ll feel a lot more vibration, and the whole assembly might just feel loose, not responding as crisply as it should.
Swapping these out isn't usually a big deal, but don't just ram a new one in there. Always take the time to clean out the bore where it sits – get all the old grease and crud out. Crucially, check for any scoring or burrs on the housing bore itself; if that's damaged, your new sleeve won't seat right and will wear out fast. And here’s a tip: people often forget to properly inspect the pin or shaft that runs *inside* the sleeve. If that's worn or grooved, even a brand new sleeve won't last, and you'll be doing the job again sooner than you think.
