They keep these critical components safely away from moving parts, hot surfaces, and sharp edges. Proper routing with these ties prevents chafing and strain on connectors, which directly contributes to the long-term reliability of the machine's control and hydraulic systems.

You will find these ties securing sensor wires on the drifter, organizing hoses along the boom, and managing cables inside the main electrical cabinet. If a tie breaks, a loose hydraulic hose can easily rub against the feed beam, leading to a high-pressure oil leak and a sudden stop in production. Similarly, a dangling electrical cable can get caught in a moving linkage, causing a difficult-to-diagnose control system failure.

During routine inspections, look for any broken, brittle, or missing TIE, CABLE. Pay close attention to areas with high vibration, like near the power pack or along the feed. Always replace them with the correct part to ensure proper material strength and durability for the underground environment. Do not overtighten new ties, as this can damage the insulation on wires.
