AIR CLAPET

551 652 39 VALVE, AIR Cette vanne, qui fonctionne dans le circuit pneumatique de la plate-forme, dirige l'air à haute pression vers une fonction spécifique, le plus souvent pour les boutures de roche du forage. Its correct operation is essential for maintaining a high rate of penetration. By precisely managing airflow, it allows the drifter to work efficiently without wasting expensive compressed air, a significant operational cost in any souterrain mine.

A failure in this AIR VALVE can lead to several drilling problems. If the valve sticks closed or becomes clogged, flushing air will be insufficient, causing the drill bit to jam and potentially damaging the drill string. Conversely, a valve that leaks or sticks open leads to a constant loss of air pressure, reducing the overall performance of the rig and placing extra load on the compresseur.

Common signs of a worn AIR VALVE include a noticeable hissing sound from leaks or a weak, inconsistent flow of flushing air at the front of the drifter. When replacing the valve, always garantir the pneumatic system is fully depressurized. It's also good practice to inspecter the connecting air lines for moisture or debris, as contamination is a primary cause of premature valve failure.
